Quincy Taylor Screws the Pooch - gets sponsored by IBE, admits steroid use
We all know that professional bodybuilders aren’t typically the sharpest crayons in the box. But this is probably one of the stupidest moves I’ve seen from a professional bodybuilder in a very long time. Over on BB.com, Quincy Taylor (the IFBB pro) just started a thread stating that he uses IBE’s “Epistane” product, and in fact is now sponsored by IBE:

Leonidas300 (a good dude in my book) suspects that Epistane is banned by the IFBB…and states as much in Quincy’s thread…and he is totally correct.
Epistane is categorically banned by the IFBB, which subscribes to the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of doping regulations regarding banned substances:

Later, Quincy also makes the claim that Epistane is patented by IBE. This is of course completely incorrect. IBE doesn’t make the only Epistane on the market…they just make the kind that has come under the most attack after the CEO of Primaforce had it lab tested and found it to contain something other than label claims; which Pat Arnold confirmed.
I typically think it’s a bullshit move when someone involved in the business of selling supplements tries to play industry watchdog - but in this case, I’ll reserve that judgment and say that I believe these two guys on this one.
So anyway, Quincy Taylor decides to come out and admit publicly that he is using a (legal-ish) oral steroid that is presently banned by the IFBB, which he competes in. But wait, it gets worse. He also claims that Epistane cures Gyno and that you don’t need PCT with it. Of course, he’s totally incorrect. But, as he reminds us, he is a successful bodybuilder, and therefore, he is not totally incorrect.
The forum members on BB.com jumped on Quincy (I would say mostly because IBE is universally hated everywhere), and Quincy fired back by insulting forum members, telling them that they have shitty physiques, and that he knows his shit because he placed well in this contest and that contest, and qualified for the Olympia, etc…
Predictably, IBE and their cronies jumped in and tried to defend themselves as well as Quincy and their product…but even though there’s a bunch of 17 year old nit-wits on BB.com, there’s also a lot of clever people as well…and this results in Quincy, IBE, and their product getting the shit kicked out of them for 22 pages, and looking horrible.
I feel genuinely bad for Quincy because what he has done to himself in that thread amounts to the worst public relations nightmare a professional bodybuilder can go through, and he really showed himself to have nothing to say other than “You look like crap and I don’t, so listen to me” and “I’m fucking swole, so listen to me”.
He was wrong about literally every claim he made regarding Epistane, insulted members who proved him wrong, and most mind-bogglingly:
He fucking admitted to using a fucking steroid, which is fucking banned by the IFBB…his sole source of income being tied to that organization.
Worst. Move. Ever.
