End user from Operation Raw Deal….visits from Postal Inspectors and FDA….sources caught, former remailers may be next target
Ok…first of all, everyone chill. The end user is not being targeted….as I predicted. In fact, multiple people who were simply end users have been spoken to (East Coast only right now) and the same impression was given to them also. This impression was given to them by the Postal Inspector and the FDA agents who visited them.
This isn’t a lights flashing sirens blasting visit…it’s what we call a knock and talk. As far as I can tell, this all stems from the website that some would claim was at the heart of Operation Raw Deal…at least that’s what I’ve figured out by talking to several people who have been spoken to.
The end user isn’t being targeted, but I have spoken to several people who didn’t know each other, but who were all spoken to, and I’m able to connect a certain amount of dots in this case. I have no idea how much information the Postal Inspectors and/or FDA have, but I think this all relates to the main site that people talk about as being the epicenter of this disaster.
I firmly believe that many of their staff was involved in this, although several publicly denied this, other former staff members have told me that I’m right. I think at most 1-2 of them were not directly involved as remailers for one of the major sources who went down. Then again, the 1-2 that I believe were not involved were people who I spoke to outside of the site, and who I personally like - so of course I believe the people who I like…who could just as easily be lying to me.
Still, when people talk about having limited resources to spend on gear, I tend to believe them when they say they aren’t remailers. Again, I tend to believe most of the people I have personal relationships with - and I could be a dipshit for doing so in this instance.
So the point of all of this is that several cases are still being built, and if you keep up with things, you probably know what site I’m talking about and who formerly moderated on that site …and many/most of them were remailers.
Those remailers are next to be targeted, and we may be seeing a second wave of ORD related busts over the coming weeks and months.
